There has been a polemic about the effectiveness and security that Wed 2.0 properties such as Squidoo offer for affiliation marketing.
With all the updates that google has done in the past 2 years (panda, penguin, etc.) a lot of affiliates lost rankings for their websites affecting their earnings.
Ok, let me point this out, the success of selling as an affiliate it is not necessarily about the platform you use (Squidoo, WordPress, etc.), it is about the niches, the keywords and the quality of the content you give.
Google is giving a huge weight to the relevance and quality of the content, and they measure this with these 2 main matrix: "time on site", and "bounce rate".
